The pre-ICIS SIGDSA 2026 Symposium theme is “Analytics and AI-Based Decision Support for Digital Collaboration and Coexistence”.
Decision-making is increasingly shared across people, organizations, and intelligent systems. As analytics and AI move from supporting individual choices to shaping how teams, firms, and communities coordinate, new questions arise about how decision support should be designed, governed, and evaluated. The idea of coexistence points to realities this research must confront: humans and AI now take part in the same decisions, and data-rich and data-poor settings sit side by side across regions, sectors, and groups with very different levels of access, infrastructure, and digital literacy. We invite doctoral research that examines how analytics and AI-based decision support can enable effective and responsible collaboration across these conditions, balancing the pursuit of value and innovation with transparency, accountability, and human well-being.
SIGDSA provides a dynamic platform for meaningful dialogue among researchers, educators, and practitioners dedicated to advancing the fields of AI, Business Analytics, and Data Science. As part of this session, students conducting doctoral research in decision support and analytics will have the opportunity to present their work to an international panel of senior scholars. Participants will receive constructive feedback through an interactive roundtable discussion.
This workshop also provides doctoral students with a valuable opportunity to connect with established IS researchers, as well as early-career scholars, facilitating networking and collaboration within their areas of interest.
