Venue Information
The location of this symposium is not the same as that of ICIS. While the ICIS main conference will take place at the Lisbon Congress Center (Centro de Congressos de Lisboa), the Pre-ICIS SIGDSA Symposium will be held at NOVA Information Management School. Exact details regarding the venue and building locations will be announced soon. We will also provide additional information regarding transportation options shortly.

For anyone participating only in the pre-ICIS SIGDSA Symposium and requiring visa, AIS can issue a visa letter as long as that individual is an AIS Member. Participants must first register for the pre-ICIS SIGDSA Symposium as an ancillary-only event if they do not plan to attend the full ICIS conference. If you do not know how to register for ancillary-only event (and are planning to do so), please visit this regisration page that show step by step process of registering the ancillary-only event .
After completing the registration of the symposium, fill out the Visa Letter Request Form and attach your pre-ICIS Symposium registration confirmation. The AIS Registrar will issue the visa letter within two business days after receiving the completed form.
Please note that the AIS office will be closed on the following U.S. holidays:
- Monday, September 7
- Thursday, November 26
- Friday, November 27
